Trial Lessons and Experience Flights
Whether you are thinking of taking a PPL, just want to feel what it's like to control a light aircraft or even want to buy an unforgettable present for a friend or relative, the trial lesson or experience flight can be geared to suit your needs.
During the flight, you will occupy the pilot's seat and take the controls under the supervision of a qualified instructor.
The Trial Lesson
This is designed for someone who is seriously considering taking on a PPL course and just wants to make sure that flying is the sport for them. It is the same as the first lesson of the course so that if you do decide to continue we will start lesson two on your next flight. During the flight your instructor will show you the basic controls and give you as much "hands-on" time as possible.
Experience Flight
This is intended more for people who are unlikely to be continuing along the road to a PPL. Although it is still conducted by a qualified instructor and will still count towards a PPL should you continue, you will only be shown how to make the aircraft go up, down, left and right. Armed with this knowledge you will spend the time flying around an area of your choice within the time constraint of the lesson. Again you will spend as much time "hands-on" as possible.
Prices and Gift Vouchers
The following flight durations are available. A gift voucher can be issued for any of them; no decision needs to be made until the day of the flight whether it is a trial lesson or an experience flight, and both consist of a pre-flight brief and post-flight discussion. However, we would recommend at least 45 minutes for a Trial Lesson to enable us to fully cover the material contained in the first lesson of the PPL course.
| Duration | Price |
| 20 mins | £35 |
| 30 mins | £50 |
| 45 mins | £75 |
| 60 mins | £90 |
Please be aware that flying is very much a weather-dependent activity; we may have to postpone your flight on the day but will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible.
